“I’ve been interpreting since 1982 I still can’t match the rewarding feeling I get of bringing two worlds together. Sign language has been a gift to me all these years and being an interpreter in the Deaf community has been an honor I can’t describe.  I am amazed by the power of ASL to describe all things.  The challenge has been a lifelong effort, and I love my work!”

“Originally from Las Vegas, I am a Connecticut Registered American Sign Language Interpreter. I studied the profession of ASL interpreting at Kapi’olani Community College (University of Hawaii), where I satisfied the requirements for the Interpreter Training Program (ITP). I continued my education at Southern New Hampshire University earning a BA in Liberal Arts majoring in Forensic Psychology. Being a CODA, I have been a part of the Deaf community in various roles. Most significantly working in the mental health field with deaf adolescents and young adults. A few years ago, I moved here from a close-knit Deaf community on the West Coast. I wasn’t sure which interpreting agencies were reputable in the area, so I took the pulse of Deaf people and ASL interpreters and the name “CoSign” kept popping up. After working with Cosign for about a year, I realize why: their staff are professional, friendly, warm, hardworking, reliable and ethical. They are responsive to questions and concerns and make me feel at home! Thanks CoSign!

I’ve worked for CoSign for more than two years now. It’s been awesome. CoSign is very responsive and efficient. Scheduling and billing are easy and payment is on time! The staff are always helpful and friendly when I need help. I love CoSign!

Alyson K. ASL Interpreter CT/CI

The jobs I accept with Cosign are prepared well “behind the scenes” well before I start interpreting. The office staff is spot on with expectations from the consumers as well as from the providers. The office staff is timely with a response when contacted, even in emergencies. They are all a pleasure to work with as allies.

Suzanne T. ASL Interpreter CSC

Cosign has been great to work with. They understand and care for the Deaf/hard of hearing community and support me well as an interpreter. Prep material is provided as often as possible, they communicate clearly all assignment related details and are always a text, call or email away. The teams I have worked with have all been skilled and professional. CoSign is a great agency and I feel fortunate to work together!

Connecticut Interpreter NIC Master

I joined at the end of the COVID era, which was nerve wracking to begin a career whilst being introduced to the Deaf community at the same time. Cosign made me feel welcomed to start my journey as a new sign language interpreter. The staff at Cosign are helpful with communication, prep materials, and the business aspect. This has made the interpreting process easier so we can focus on the real work for the community. My teams have been skilled, friendly, and share the same passion of this field. Looking forward to what the future holds under this agency and the people I get to work with.
